Most of the window replacements we do are on 1960s to 1980s brick veneer homes in South Penrith, Kingswood, St Clair, Cranebrook and Cambridge Park. The original aluminium sliders have worn rollers, failed seals and locks that no longer hold. Here is how the job runs.

The measure

We come out, free, and measure every opening we are quoting. On older homes the brick openings are rarely square, so we measure each one rather than assume a standard size. We check the reveals, the sill condition and whether the old frames were flashed. You get a fixed written quote within a few days.

Fabrication

Frames are cut, assembled and glazed at our workshop at Lemko Place in Penrith. Lead time depends on glass and colour and is confirmed on the quote. Nothing is ordered from interstate.

Installation day

A typical ten to twelve window house with one sliding door is one day on site, sometimes two. We work one opening at a time: old frame out, opening cleaned up, new frame fixed, flashed and sealed, sash adjusted and locked. The house is never left open overnight. Flyscreens and security screens go in at the same visit so you are not waiting for a second crew.

What changes on the house

Internal architraves usually stay. We match the frame colour to your existing trim or to a new scheme, and the frame depth is chosen so the new window sits in the same plane as the old one. The weather flap on a KlassicView sliding window and proper flashing mean the leaks and draughts stop.

Cost

Every job is made to measure, so we do not publish a price list. The quote is itemised per opening so you can stage the job if you want to: bedrooms this year, living areas next. See the Penrith page for what locals order most, or book a measure.
