Aluminium Sliding and Stacking Doors in Penrith
A stacking door is a sliding door with three or more panels that slide and stack behind one another, so two thirds of a wide opening can be open at once. It is the door most Penrith families want between the living room and the alfresco. Newage fabricates KlassicView sliding stacking doors at our Penrith workshop with panels to 2500mm high and 1350mm wide, single or double glazed, and a flyscreen track built into the frame.

Most of our stacking door jobs are alfresco openings on homes in Glenmore Park, Jordan Springs, Caddens and the newer estates around Penrith.

Where sliding and stacking doors work best.
Wide openings between indoor and outdoor living, and anywhere a bifold would take up too much room when open.
Living room to alfresco
Three panels stack to one side and the room runs straight onto the deck.
Openings over 3 metres
Four and six panel layouts cover openings a standard sliding door cannot.
New builds and extensions
Specified early, the opening is framed to suit the door rather than the other way round.
Cafes and small shopfronts
The same system suits semi commercial openings onto a footpath or courtyard.

What is the difference between a sliding door and a stacking door?
A sliding door has two panels, one fixed and one sliding. A stacking door has three or more panels that slide and stack behind each other, so more of the opening is clear.
Stacking door or bifold?
A stacker is cheaper, needs no clear space for folded panels and keeps a flyscreen track. A bifold opens the whole width. We quote both if you are undecided.
How wide can the opening be?
Panels go to 1350mm wide, so a three panel stacker covers about 4 metres and a six panel layout stacking both ways covers about 8 metres.
Can it be double glazed?
Yes. The frame takes 16mm to 20mm double glazed units, and the heavy duty rollers are rated for the extra weight.
Is there a flyscreen?
Yes. A flyscreen track is built into the frame and a sliding screen panel covers the open section.
