Thermally Broken Double Glazed Windows and Doors in Penrith
Double glazing only works properly when the frame stops heat as well as the glass does. ClimateGuard puts a polyamide thermal break between the inside and outside aluminium, so the frame no longer conducts Penrith summer heat in or winter warmth out. We fabricate the full range at Lemko Place: framing platforms, awning and casement windows, sliding windows, hinged doors and sliding doors, all tested to AS2047 and NCC energy compliant.

What does thermally broken mean?
A strip of polyamide separates the inside and outside halves of the aluminium frame, so heat cannot travel straight through the metal. The glass is double glazed as well, so the whole window insulates, not just the middle.
Is double glazing in a normal frame enough?
It helps, but a plain aluminium frame conducts heat around the glass. For a rated result, or a quiet result near a main road, the thermally broken frame makes the difference.
Will it meet my 7 star energy report?
Usually, with the right glass. ClimateGuard framing achieves U values from about 1.58 W/m2K; we match the frame and glass combination to the figures in your report.
Does it cost much more than standard frames?
More than KlassicView, yes, because of the thermal break and the double glazed units. We quote it alongside the standard option so you can compare.
Does ClimateGuard take longer to make?
No. It fabricates the same way as our other systems; lead time depends mainly on the glass units.
