Can I still open the window?
Yes. On awning and louvre windows the screen sits inside and the sash opens outward over it. On sliding and double hung windows the screen covers the opening and the sash slides behind it.
How do I get out in a fire?
Bedroom screens can be hinged with a keyed or quick release lock so the screen opens from inside. We recommend this on at least one window per bedroom.
Is Heavy DVA Mesh a security screen?
No. It is a heavy gauge privacy mesh that stops people seeing in during the day. For security choose ScreenGuard, PerfGuard or a Diamond Grille.
Will the screen block the view?
Stainless mesh is the clearest, then PerfGuard. A Diamond Grille is the most visible. All of them reduce light a little compared with a bare window.
Can you match my existing security door?
Yes. All five systems come in the same frame colours, so window screens and doors match.
