Stainless mesh is stronger, keeps insects out and you see straight through it. A diamond grille costs less and suits older homes but needs a separate flyscreen behind it.
What does AS5039 mean?
It is the Australian Standard for security screen doors and window grilles. ScreenGuard, ScreenGuard Extreme and PerfGuard are tested or compliant to it; a standard flyscreen is not.
Can you fit a security door to my sliding door?
Yes. A sliding security panel runs on the existing track or a new one, in ScreenGuard or PerfGuard mesh.
Will a stainless door rust?
ScreenGuard uses 316 marine grade stainless with a powder coated aluminium frame. It is made for coastal and pool side use, so Penrith conditions are no problem.
Do you do pet doors?
Yes, a pet door can be fitted in most hinged security doors. Ask at the measure.
